Need Juicer

What kind of juicer should I buy?

I need a juicer, do I buy a cheap one now then splurge on an expensive one later? Any recommendations?

Out of all the juicers I’ve used, The Jack LaLanne’s power juicer was BY FAR the best. It was super easy to use and made AWESOME juice. The only thing I didn’t like about it was it was a pain to clean, but if you have a dishwasher it won’t be an issue (we don’t). I can’t remember how much we bought it new (maybe $150ish?). You can get a pre-owned one on Ebay for a lot less.

I bought my husband the Montel Williams Health Master ($300+) for Christmas. DON’T BUY IT (well in my opinion). It’s just a glorified blender. It’s really not all that much different than a regular blender. It makes more smoothie type “juice” – it’s thicker and clumpier, but I suppose it holds more of the fiber in and whatnot.

I sold my Jack LaLanne’s for $50 on Craigslist to put towards the HealthMaster and boy do I wish I had it back and never had bought that HealthMaster. It’s been used 3-4 times since Christmas and has just been collecting dust.

I also have a Magic Bullet and it’s a groovy little kitchen gadget for both smoothies and other goodies. I’ve used the heck out of it. You can now get those just about anywhere.

Edit: I just looked on Amazon and Ebay. NEW Jack LaLanne’s are starting at about $75. Totally worth it in my opinion.
