Expiration dates on tylenol (or similar to tylenol caplets)?
The other day I had about 8 tylenol for a really bad fever I was having ( I don’t want any responses about whether or not I should/n’t have done this) and then I realized that the tylenol was 8 years expired (thus, exp: 1998) but I didn’t feel nauseated later in the day after taking them. I am of an average to small body size, but I suffered no ill effects. Is the expiration date on tylenol to say that it can no longer help the pain or that the tylenol is now dangerous? Has anyone here ever experienced negative effects from expired medicine? Or are basically all the expiration dates on medicine simply to say that the medicine is basically a dust pill now?
You should really be careful when taking medication that has expired! In your case, the tylenol had lost it’s effects. You should have noticed a vinager(sp) smell, that’s how you know when they aren’t good anymore.
You can keep tylenol from going bad if you usually buy a big bottle by putting about 10 of them in a smaller bottle. When you keep opening up the bottle the air that gets inside can make them go bad.
Why are diet and exercise so important during menopause?
